Crude Metric Conversion

Please accept my appolgy for this crude estimation of metric conversion. I have never seen a non-american version of the FT rules. I tried to make by conversion easy to use.

3' = 1m
1"= 25mm
so a 6'x3' table would be approx 3x1m.
each point of thrust would move a ship 25mm.

ESU and FSE are to have diplomatic meeting to arrange a truce. Both sides decided to "negotiate from strength." Both powers decide to place "peace keeping" forces in the system before negotiations. However, neither was expecting to jump on top of the opposing party. Each fleet defends themselves from what is obviously an ambush.

Assume a 6'x3' (3x1m) table. Both sides plot entry points for their ships within the middle 2' of the table. Adjust actual drop sight as stated on page 24 of the Full Thrust rules. Ships that land within 6" of another ship will take damage as stated on page 24.

Each player may purchase 700 points of FTL ships. No non-FTL ships may be purchased.
All ships will be identified by ship type, class, and tonnage to all players.

Each side must try to destroy the other side and leave the table before the 30th game turn. On turn 30, each side's diplomatic fleets will appear at each end of the table. If a side has ships left on the table when the diplomatic fleets arrive, he has failed and loses by default (even if he has completely destroyed the fleet of the other player). If both sides have fleets on the table when the diplomatic fleets alive, Both lose. If both sides leave the table, without completely destroying the other fleet, the game is a draw. Ships may not leave the short edge of the table (if a ship does so is destroyed).
