Please accept my appolgy for this crude estimation of metric conversion. I have never seen a non-american version of the FT rules. I tried to make by conversion easy to use.
3' = 1m
1"= 25mm
so a 6'x3' table would be approx 3x1m.
each point of thrust would move a ship 25mm.
- Run fast, Run hard, Run straight. Using this method the FCT player can increase his speed by 8 each round and shorten the length of the game. The disadvantage is that the PAC ships get free shots at you and you cannot return fire.
- Zig-Zag. The FCT player flies on a heading ranging between 11 and 1 in a back and forth style. This allows for a quick rate of progress and a small firing arc for opportunity fire.
- Drop Outs. This strategy has the majority of ships head directly for the exit at full speed. Along the way, ships "drop out" of formation to slow the pursuers.
- Stay & Fight. The majority of ships stay to "blocade" the persuers. One or two ships head directly for the end of the corridor.
PAU:
- Big Guns. Using this strategy, the PAU player purchases large ships in the hope of destroying the FCT ships in the first 2 rounds.
- Pursuit Force. Using this strategy the PAU player chooses fast, light ships to chase the FCT and destroy them by superior numbers.
- Mixed. Combines the above methods.
