Dean Gundberg's Sci-Fi Crossover Game

--

Ship System Diagrams (SSD's):

Sci-Fi Crossover: The Revenge Scenario rules.

Background:

After a wacky space time anomaly, Several Star Destroyers were pulled into a pocket universe and had to do battle with a couple fleets of ships. Those ships were unlike any other human ships they had seen, but in the end, the might of the Empire prevailed and the Star Destroyers rolled over those weak excuses of humanity.

That was a year ago.

Today they again meet a rag-tag fleet of human ships, but now there is a greater variety of ships they face. Also the Star Destroyers are outnumbered by a greater margin this year...will they prevail or will those 'good' humans get their revenge?

Table: 5'x10' or whatever you have, with the long direction North-South for game terms.

Imperial Star Destroyer Setup:

The Star Destroyers start at the north (short edge) of the table, all fighters except for Tie Bombers can be launched. Their goal is to survive and move off of the southern edge of the table to safety.

Allied Fleets Setup:

The other fleets start on on the south half of the table, B5 on the southwest, Star Trek Federation on the Southeast and Battlestar Galactica/Space:Above and Beyond on the south edge. Only half of the allied fighters (per ship) may be launched at the star of the game. The allies must stop the evil ships from the Empire from exiting the southern edge.

Misc. Rules:

FTL is not allowed.

GenCon outcome:

The Star Destroyers were stopped. A Probable reason is that at GenCon, I only allowed a few Tie Fighters to be launched at the start of the game, this caused the SDs to spend turns coasting without maneuvering in order to launch the rest of their fighters. If the SDs were allowed to accelerate those turns and/or maneuver, the outcome would have been different. As a result, the setup was changed and a subsequent game at a local convention resulted in a very close battle.
